Lost poor Petey

Well we have a birds nest on front porch , its a Mourning Dove, this  egg is still there, but we haven't seen the mom and dad so not  sure if they have abandon it.  Well today Susan came back from her walk and the baby was on the front steps, so we watched for him so that the dogs didn't get to him and hurt him. Here are a couple of pictures

Well sad to say that poor Petey got in the house and trying to get him out, I think Hanna got a hold of him and he passed away a hour later. Now we have to watch Hanna, she seems to be trying to get the birds when they are sitting on the fence. I guess she thinks they taste good or something.

Update - Thanksgiving in Chile

Well our neighbors came over and we had a wonderful time, unfortunately Daniel was called in to work. Susan made a plate for him. Here are some pictures I took. 

Thanksgiving in Chile

Well we decided to have Thanksgiving today (Saturday) instead of Thursday. We did this so we could invite our Chilean neighbors, or as Susan calls them our angels. Well add more pictures later today, these are just setting up for the day.

Well its 6 for 3 so far, haven't had any today, but the day is still young.

Hmmm had been quite but now it seems to be shaken and shaken...

Well last post tile was incorrect, its now f earthquake in three days. The last one was 6.1, definitely stronger then the rest have been, that one got the pool water sloshing. Hmmm ...feels like another will check later.

Well the holidays are approaching.

It is hard to get excited for the holidays, well for me anyway. I mean really...... weather is in the 80's. More use to it getting cold, I think I will miss the snow.... yea right...The other interesting things here are, the dogs, it seems everyone gets their dog shaved, I guess that's because it is getting hot.

They do have Christmas stuff out at the stores, some of the decorations are like what we are use to, others are not. They have some decoration that are just more colors.

Susan is preparing for Thanksgiving, we are going to celebrating on Saturday with our neighbors. She has been able to find somethings..like sweet potatoes. We were not able find them here, but one of our friends found Peruvian sweet potato, they are called camote sweet potatoes, this is what they look like  so will see how that works out. Another is stuffing, they don't seem to have that, so Susan is making her own. We used loaf bread and cut them up and then put in the oven.

The other thing is .......I have completed my English course, now I have TESOL certificate. Will post it once I have it. So now I am writing my cv, resume to look for a job.

And now the reason for the title ..... 3 in a 3.

Well the title is because we have had three earthquake in three days.

We have felt them, but they were weak...and didn't last long and didn't cause any damage, thank God.

Well hope all my friends have a Happy Thanksgiving...

Elections are over.....

Well the elections are over....
I do have to admit at least I didn't have put up with political ads or phone calls. Was not happy with the results,but then again at least we can vote, not sure that helps sometimes

Nice day

Well setting on the patio doing my school work. *L* I see my friends in the Northeast are getting snow. I do miss the snow..NOT. I have to admit I miss storms but not the snow.

It is strange getting into the Holiday seasons knowing that we wont have snow for Christmas. Yesterday we had gone to the Home depot of Chile, know as Easy www.easy.cl as we had to get boards for our bed. The  mattress and box springs here is a little wider then US so I had to get boards, anyway they have Christmas decorations out so, that is why I thought of the snow.

So now we are in our summer bedroom.. *L* yes it is much cooler downstairs then upstairs. The only problem is the bed is way higher

as you can see. Hanna and Kobe will not be jumping on the bed now.


Well guess time to get back to school work.
