Kobe ...

Boy is Kobe a spoiled dog... today the weather was a little rainy so I removed the cushions from the outside furniture,  and later on in the day while I was skimming the pool and I hear Kobe barking. I go look and he is by his chair (so he thinks) and is barking because the cushions are missing.

Here Kobe is happy

Weather is getting warmer

The weather is getting warm now...  as you can see  Hanna and Kobe are liking it

And you thought it happens only in the United States

A article I found on Yahoo.cl  ( http://cl.noticias.yahoo.com/presentar%C3%A1-pastor-chileno-demanda-civil-dios-230700546.html)

This the English translation.

Santiago, Sep 15 (AP). - Chilean Christian Pastor Gustavo Vergara, of the Community of Christ church, lead a civil lawsuit that a group of faithful present in this country against representing God and Jesus, local media reported Wednesday.

Vergara told the online edition of the Chilean newspaper Las Ultimas Noticias that the claim is against "God homophobic, misogynistic, quarrelsome and exclusive, which punishes the sins of mankind tip of earthquakes, tsunamis, plagues and diseases."

The pastor, who also integrates a Christian motorcycle club called "Centurions of Christ", said they would appeal to the new anti-discrimination law, which went into effect a few weeks ago in this South American country.

"And it will be representing Jesus as if he were suing a god who is assuming to be his father, but he does not know," said Vergara, 41, who leads a group of faithful from northern Santiago .

He said the civil lawsuit will be filed against the god that exists "in the minds of most representatives of the Evangelical Church in Chile."

He explained that "as God (...) can not be found to be present, we will quote to representing this god on earth", referring to evangelical pastors.

What I miss

Over course I miss friends and family. And I really do miss work, well at least some of my co-workers. Due try to stay in contact using email and this blog. But there are other things such as, we don’t see jet airliners flying, but that  has been replace by the constant helicopters and light aircraft and occasional small business jets that take off from Tobalaba Airport, which is about 1 1/2 miles away.

Other things are looking at the stars, there is too much light pollution to really see the stars. Maybe some time I will be available to go to the mountains and then see if it is better.

As far as the weather, maybe the occasional storms, here we haven't seen any storms, maybe a heavy rain or light wind. We did have a thunderstorm and our neighbors said that was really unusual.

Fiestas Patrias / Día de las Glorias del Ejército 2012

As you may or may not know, the18th of September and 19th of September are national holidays in Chile. This celebration is know as  Fiestas Patrias, celebrating these two dates. 18 September, celebrates  the establishment of the First Government Junta in 18 September1810, which marks the beginning of Chilean independence process. this date is also referred the Dieciocho, or "18th". To say when Chile gain its independence would depend on what terms you use to define the end, extended until 1821, when royalist forces were expelled from mainland Chile, or 1826, when the last Spanish troops surrendered and the Chiloé Archipelago was incorporated to the Chilean republic. A Chilean Declaration of Independence was officially issued by Chile on February 12, 1818 and formally recognized by Spain in 1844, when full diplomatic relations were established.

Ok, so what did I do....well I spent the day rebuilding my laptop as it had crashed and burned. Well for those of you that know me, no I hadn't been installing any bleeding-edge software.

Now on with History class. The 19th September is know as Día de las Glorias del Ejército, or Day of the Glories of the Army Day, or as Armed Forces Day. I was still rebuilding laptop and finally got it all up and running.

I went with our neighbors to the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos, The National Stadium of Chile.
Which is located in Ñuñoa, in Santiago Province,Santiago Metropolitan Region  or simply called the Metropolitan Region. They had a Fondas, also called ramada or chingana. Which are constructed as a temporary local for sales of food and drink and  during the Fiestas Patrias.

Here are some pictures I took:
